There is nothing like cuddling up on a snowy day, with some hot chocolate and watching Christmas movies, in a warm cozy bed. We all have our favorite Christmas movie that just puts us in the spirit. For some, it may be animated and for others it may be a fun corny movie. There are huge varieties of Christmas movies that are circling around everywhere. These movies influence teens and adults to get excited for the upcoming Christmas season.
Three Lakers were asked what their favorite Christmas movie is and why. They were also asked, what movie really just puts them into the Christmas spirit. Shaniah Castillo, a junior, said, “A Christmas Story because it comes on tv a lot and it’s my dad’s favorite movie. How the Grinch Stole Christmas really puts me into the Christmas spirit.”
Ethan Cabading, a senior, said, “My favorite is The Nightmare Before Christmas because it’s not expected and it’s just great. The Christmas Story from the 60s, the one with Ralphie, really puts me into the spirit. I love that movie so much; it’s so good. It puts me into the spirit because it’s such a classic and it has everything that embodies Christmas and it’s just so good.”
Lastly, Dominic Clark, a junior, said,”I like Frosty the Snowman because it’s what I grew up watching. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer puts me in the spirit because it’s kind of the first thing that you want to watch around Christmas.”
