At Bonneville High we have numerous music programs, including choir, orchestra, and band, there are many more programs incorporated in those for our newer musicians.
In charge of the band and orchestra are Bryce Chamberlain and Jamie Hansen. The choir program is being led by Michelle Kirby.
If you have been to any of our amazing Laker football games you would notice the Pep Band playing in the stands. The Pep Band is led by Chamberlain and he does an outstanding job leading the band.
This band consists of many different instruments ranging from small chimes to a large tuba. You can always count on these kids having the best spirit, always being cheerful win or lose.
The bands, choirs, and orchestras have been working on many different pieces and songs beginning practice at the start of school. One of the first concerts coming up is the band concert. The Honor Band had a district competition on the 6th of December at Roy High and they did great.
The next band concerts are on the 18th and 19th of December both of which are here at Bonneville High School. Then the bands do not have any concerts until March so they have plenty of time to practice their new pieces.
The choir has a few performances coming up this December, the choir had the opportunity to perform at Temple Square on the 7th. The next week they have their holiday performance on the 14th of December.
Aspen Sears a sophomore at Bonneville High School, was one of the students who was looking forward to the performance Sears said, “I love choir; it’s like one of my favorite classes… I’m way excited to go down there to Temple Square. It is so pretty this time of year with all the lights.”
So be sure to make it out to see all these talented kids and the amazing teachers that lead these performances! Some of the students performing in the choir were excited about the upcoming performance in Temple Square.
