The girls soccer team had a very successful season with many wins. They were co-region champs (with Park City) with a win-loss record of 11-1 in region play. They kicked the season off right with a win three to zero against Morgan, and many more wins to follow.
Girls soccer here at Bonneville is known for being the very best and a team that other schools are dying to beat. The hard work and dedication of the team this year has just added onto the long lasting reputation of being great. They are being led by great captains and coaches, and gaining a lot of support form the students here at Bonneville.
The team captains this year are: Bailey Hassell, Hailey Price, Izzy Togisala, Jessi lane, and Karly Conolly. They have done an amazing job at leading the team with a common love and passion for soccer. Conolly says her favorite game was Senior Night against Ben Lomond.
When asked why Conolly said, “The crowd would chant your name anytime you scored. Playing with my twelve senior best friends for one of the last times on our home field was just a special moment.”
The team made it to state and sadly lost in the quarter finals on Saturday October thirteenth. Girls soccer is one of our most successful sports at Bonneville, and something we take a lot of pride and joy in. These girls put up an amazing fight, a team filled with so much talent, and love for each other.
